Painting Around the House (Outdoors)
Preschool to Kindergarten
Get out several paint brushes and paint rollers.  Take them outside, and fill some paint trays with water.  Have the kids paint the school (or house), the fence, play equipment, or any other surface using the water as pretend paint.

 

Painters Prop Box (Dramatic play)
Preschool to Kindergarten
Gather a variety of paint brushes, rollers, and paint trays.  Add some paint shirts or smocks, some empty paint cans, stir sticks, masking tape, color swatches from a paint store, or other items a painter would use.  Set the stuff out in the dramatic play area, and let the kids explore the life of a painter.
